Your attorney may not be quick to agree to a plea bargain in Orange County - the prosecutors are very busy and will be willing to make a much better offer if it appears that you are willing to go to trial. Trials are very expensive for both sides and most sentences will be imposed without ever having gone to trial.
Alternatives to regular county jail
A good attorney will help you explore all of the alternatives to serving a regular sentence in the Orange County Jail. If the judge will agree you may be able to get a work furlough program, a pay-to-stay cell which gives you more freedom, work on a state-run farm or house arrest. If you have a drug or alcohol related offense you may be able to avoid jail altogether with a trip to a certified treatment center.
Even if you are going to jail the good news is that you probably won't do all your time - the Orange County Jail has a program in place for time off for good behavior.
