Question: I am due to start serving my sentence for a non violent white collar crime on May 14th, I was given a sentence of 300 days, if restitution is paid while I am incarcerated how many actual days will I serve?

Jail Media Answer: Typically paying off restitution won't get you out of jail early unless you have a chance to get in front of the judge for a review. The best bet for you is to find a decent attorney willing to work on getting you a review - this is not uncommon. The judge will let you give all the reasons you feel you should be free.

If you aren't granted a review then you will most likely be released after 200 days accounting for time off for good behavior. However, this sounds like a very long sentence for a non violent white collar crime - you should definitely attempt to get a review. Best of luck to you.
